ABOUT KRYSTYNA

Krystyna Resavy is a New York based choreographer, creative, and dance educator who has a passion for bringing individuals together to tell unique and personal stories through movement. 

Immediately after earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from Emerson College, Krystyna assisted Tony-award winning choreographer Christopher Gattelli on the Broadway musical, The Cher Show.

 

Most recently, Krystyna choreographed South Pacific at The Engeman Theater, directed by Hunter Foster, Sharon Playhouse's Spotlight Gala (direction and choreography), True North: The Musical (workshop), and The Prom at Sharon Playhouse, directed by artistic director Carl Andress and starting Kate Baldwin. ​She is excited to return to Sharon Playhouse this summer to choreograph Annie

Additional choreography credits include Guys and Dolls and The Wedding Singer at New London Barn Playhouse, Samsung’s Launch Event Move With Galaxy featuring Diplo and Gwen Stefani, Steps in Concert at the Joyce Theater, Onstage New York Gala (Opening Number), Leg Up On Life benefitting The Trevor Project (Sony Hall, HK Hall), Arts for Alzheimer’s, The Love Project, Jared Grimes’s Run The Night, New York City Dance Alliance, The Brearley School, and more. Favorite performance credit includes dancing in the film Isn’t It Romantic starring Rebel Wilson. 

Krystyna is currently on the Theater Jazz faculty at Steps on Broadway and Jazz faculty at the Steps on Broadway Academy. She is guest faculty for New York City Dance Alliance.
